Follow your dreams

It was back in July 2013 that I decided to embark on writing a kids blog whilst we were living in Germany and I was becoming quite lonely. Admittedly I was also becoming a little bored being a full time mother, and needed something more to occupy my mind but it wasn’t until January 2014 that I began my Kids Gifts and Toys Instagram adventure.

I couldn’t have imagined so long ago, the amazing people I would meet along the way, the sheer creative geniuses that exist in the world and in particular on Instagram, and how thankful I feel at the beautiful friendships I have made in nearly 2 years. It is those friendships which kept the loneliness at bay and gave me something to look forward to each day as I battled learning German, albeit very badly!

Many of these friendships are people with shops, fellow mamas or small kids wear and interior labels both near and far.  Together we have supported each other through our respective journeys and I have watched so many be greeted with such amazing and deserved success. I  feel so privileged to be part of the adventure and share their successes. As a blogger, I don’t feel I am particularly talented but it is those around me and the creatives who support me and vice versa that are the true creative talents. They make my life as a blogger, easier, because everyday they showcase such stunning pieces that I just want to shout from the rooftops how amazingly talented they are!! They are most importantly, all wonderful people to, with hearts of gold and kindness in their soul.

Today, I wanted to say thank you to those wonderful mamas, you know who you are and I feel blessed to have you in my life and grateful of the blogging journey you have helped me achieve. Blogging isn’t about money, honestly, it isn’t. I know some people can make money, but I have never done. Not one cent ( the hubby is not happy about that one!) But I worked all my life for money and after becoming a mother, I wanted to follow my dreams. Blogging is a passion; I write & research every night, almost 7 nights a week once the kids are in bed and it is a labour of love. For that I am thankful and hope I can show my children, that money is definitely needed in life (hence my cafe job!) but when you follow your dreams, life and all its possibilities opens new doors. They will gain divine friendships and explore opportunities that can only be presented when you open your heart and soul.

Until my next post.

Big hugs xx
