I was extremely lucky to be invited to Spotlight stores “Make it Merry” blogger event which was held at Centennial Park in Sydney on the 15th November.
Spotlight is a HUGE arts and craft store which is found nationwide in Australia and a place I have grown up with. I was delighted coming back to Australia, knowing that a lot of the crafting brands like Kaisercraft I had discovered in Germany, where stocked at Spotlight.
Fortunately for me I also now live really close to a Spotlight store, so the boys and I regularly go and have a browse and get ideas for kids birthday parties or new crafting ideas.
So it was with HUGE delight and a real honour to have received an invitation to attend the Spotlight stores “Make it Merry” event. My first blogger event and it was so much fun!
Greeted with a hugely warm welcome by the ladies at Kids Business, I was presented with table after table of Christmas crafty goodness from Spotlight as well as some very tasty delicacies on offer to indulge my hungry belly.
We were kindly given the highlights on the top 3 trends at Spotlight this Christmas, first up being “Scandi”, next “Gold Xmas” or as I like to term it “Glam Xmas”, and then the more traditional “Red & White Christmas”.
We then got to chat and meet and greet fellow bloggers whilst creating some crafty creations. I made Christmas decorations, Christmas cards and I was even taught how to decorate biscuits, admittedly I need more practice there!!
I even got home and made my first pom pom with the boys! No pictures I am sorry but stay tuned for my Christmas tree decorations this year….
Eep it’s 8 weeks away. Better get cracking on my Christmas cards!
