Toy of the Month – November 2015

Our little household is so very excited about this month’s toy review as it has meant a whole refurb of our Rock and Pebble Apple House –  yes our Mini Furniture has arrived! We even got out the confetti to celebrate!

Oh my, I have to say, the furniture is as perfect as the pictures you have seen so far!

Arriving exquisitely packaged in a sweet little white box, all perfectly compact and with the furniture placed like little pieces of a puzzle. We didn’t want to open anymore as it all looked too gorgeous for words. Of course, we couldn’t hold off for more than 5 seconds and we all dived in to check out the cute dollhouse furniture we had received to review.

We picked the white furniture, although it also comes in natural and black too. It was a tough decision I have to say as all three choices are gorgeous.

The boys and I were so excited to play with the furniture and start to furnish our house. Of course it meant, we had to do a whole refurb of our Apple House and yes we even celebrated the new furniture with a little confetti party. A little bit of “clairecollected” fun to set the tone! More on that later.

And so to the nitty gritty, what is the furniture like for the apple house and kids in general?

Some of the furniture design is abstract, which is nice as it allows the kids to imagine what they can use the furniture for, is it a table, a bed, a chair, a cupboard or dresser? It allows them to play open ended with the Modern Pebble’s and the house itself. The boys loved putting the pebbles to bed, sitting them down to have pastries from Petite Boulangerie or just generally having fun with their new furniture.

It is so wonderful to have furniture that fits perfectly in our Apple House and the new furniture works together seamlessly with the Pebbles too.

We have had our Apple house for one and a half years now, and we have had wallpaper on some of the walls during this time. I stripped this off for this refurb and the walls are still in great condition. It was so nice to work on this little project together with the kids and it really made for a wonderful bonding session as we worked together and thought up new pieces our Apple House needed to match it with its new furniture.

Well done Rock and Pebble for yet again, another perfectly designed addition to your growing range of wooden toys!
