A HUGE thank you to those who attended the inaugural Bazaar at Newport Community Centre. You brought with you enthusiasm, excitement and created a wonderful vibe for the first event.
Thank you to the incrediblytalented stall holders who helped make my first bazaar one filled with creativity, love and laughter. Your stalls were incredibly beautiful, each and every one of you put in so much effort and creativity that made each stall shine. The gorgeous selection on offer was beyond what I could have imagined, so thank you for being there for my first event.
The children who attended had the biggest smiles on their beautifully face painted faces and left having enjoyed acro yoga sessions with the wonderful Lily from Flying Yogis Australia, chalked up a storm on the Micador chalk walk, coloured happy at the large scale colouring in from Omy Studio, crafted to their hearts content in the creative corner with play-doh and micador paints and brushes, had fun in the old school playground with elastics from Wiggles Piggles, Yard Family skipping ropes and hula hoop galore, painted parasols in the courtyard and lastly danced the afternoon away to DJ Peewee Ferris.
I should also mention the children who participated in the preloved toy sale; I heard one family made a huge sum of cash from their brilliant sale! Budding entrepreneurs in the making for sure. This element of the Bazaar was a hit with kids checking out toys, books, testing them out and bargaining for their treasures.
There was also an insta booth from Mr Frames and party prop stand set up where peeps had fun snapping themselves on the day!
All the parents and stallholders raved about THE best coffee from Tom at No Label Coffee, the scrummy churros, egg, bacon and chorizo rolls from O’Churros as well as the delicious gozleme from Sisters Gozleme. All topped off with delectable artisan gelato from Dolce Bacio.
A special mention to local author Chris Stead for creating such wonderfully engaged storytelling sessions throughout the day. So many kids loved his tales of Willy Nilly and wanted to hear more about his adventures.
It was an incredible family day out, so much going on and so many beautiful handmade stalls exhibiting.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for supporting me on my first Bazaar event and in turn supported local families in the area.
See you for the Christmas edition on Sunday 11th December at the same amazing location, Newport Community Centre.
Big hugs,
Lizzie
What a beautiful day! I wish I had something like that near me, our Bazaar’s tend to be a little too Bizarre for me! I am always on the lookout for books, especially now at the gift giving time of year. I have bought all my grand kids books, the youngs got some picture books and the older kids got Frances Crossno’s Cole’s Perfect Puppy. They need the message of friendship in today’s world!
